This isan exciting opportunity for you to join the academic staff at the UH EgyptianBranch Campus on a part-time/full-time contract. You’ll join a friendly andsupportive team that has a variety of different teaching experiences.

Thisis a unique experience that offers variety, opportunity, and a fast pace. Toget the most from this position, you as a laboratory specialist/technicianshould be able to work in chemistry/Biochemistry/Microbiology labs. You shouldhave experience in analysis and preparation of chemicals for practical sessions.What’s important is that you can work in a complex environment and that you areable to work on multiple tasks at the same time.

Wework with some of the following instruments: melting point, UV-Vis spectrophotometer,HPLC, ELISA plate reader, colony counter and a wide variety of pharmaceuticalmachinery. You will be contributing in the preparation of practical sessionsand standardizing the procedure, therefore you should be able to apply standardcalculations and solve practical issues.

Inthis job, you’ll setup the experiments to deliver practical sessions for PharmaceuticalScience and MPharm students. All chemicals, solutions, glassware as well asinstruments for a particular session should be prepared and ready for students’use prior to the practical session. You’ll have the opportunity to assist thestudents with their practical skills during the laboratory and to facilitatethe assessment and examination procedures.

Appointmentwill be made at a level commensurate with qualifications and experience.

·        Atleast 2 years of experience in a similar field

·        Good communication and problem-solving skills

·        Decisionmaking skills

·        Goodcommand of English language (speaking, reading and writing)

·        Proficientin the use of Microsoft office applications

·        Workingin a previous academic institution is preferred
