BA (Hons) Digital Media Design

About the Degree

Digital Media Design is a key element of the Creative Industries. The BA (Hons) in Digital Media Design equips graduates for a wide variety of careers, including work in computer games, design, management, fashion promotion, film, TV, content creation, and digital media development. Digital media design is used widely in other fields, such as internet content, advertising, training, events, commerce and entertainment. Our practical and professionally focussed programme is reinforced by strong ties to the regional Digital Media industry which offers advice, training, internships, and collaboration.

Graduates are equipped for employment within Digital Media and have both specific and transferrable skills which are in wide demand in related industry sectors, such as construction, film and TV, engineering and science applications, and the public sector. All graduates can expect to be highly employable within related industries in the Middle East and Africa. Alternatively, some graduates may wish to extend their studies in Egypt, or in the UK, by taking a taught postgraduate or research-based award.

Our Digital Media Design programme explores the digital field, including multimedia platforms, mobile devices, creating web-based content, interactive video, live performance technology and digital art installations, and creating augmented and virtual reality applications establishing a rich, hybrid area of study for the 21st century. The programme aims to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to become part of Egypt’s digital revolution.

Students will have the ability to learn how digital media is produced, building a foundation for work in publishing, graphic design, web design, multimedia, arts administration, copywriting, and specialist careers in the art, design, and digital media industries.
